Post Incarceration Syndrome Training : June 19th, 2026

Post-Incarceration Syndrome (PICS™) Training is a trauma-informed educational framework designed to help professionals understand the psychological, emotional, behavioral, and physiological impacts of incarceration and reentry. Rooted in public health, social work, and lived experience, the training explores issues such as hypervigilance, institutional distrust, emotional restriction, identity disruption, and survival-based coping responses. Participants gain practical tools to support justice-impacted individuals through healing-centered, evidence-based, and trauma-responsive approaches that improve engagement, stability, and long-term reintegration outcomes.
