About the PICS Train-the-Trainer Certification

The Post-Incarceration Syndrome (PICS) Train-the-Trainer Certification equips professionals, advocates, and systems leaders with the knowledge and tools to recognize, teach, and respond to the long-term impacts of incarceration-based trauma.

Participants will learn how PICS shows up in behavior, communication, relationships, and workplace settings and how to respond with trauma-informed, evidence-based strategies that support stability, dignity, and successful reintegration.

Through this training, you will gain practical frameworks to:

  • Work effectively with individuals emerging from incarceration

  • Support families and loved ones in building understanding, healthy communication, and realistic expectations
